Greenpeace is a global environmental organization founded in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in 1971. Greenpeace has national and regional offices in 41 countries around the world, all of which are associated with the center of Greenpeace International in Amsterdam
Greenpeace official mission statement says:
Greenpeace is an independent organization campaigning using anti-violent creative confrontation to expose the global environmental problems, and to force solutions for a future of peace and green. Greenpeace target is to ensure the ability of the earth for survival for all its diversity.
The origin of the formation of Greenpeace began with the formation of Do not Make A Wave Committee, by a group of Canadian and American activists in Vancouver in 1970. This committee’s name is taken from a slogan used during protests against nuclear tests the United States in late 1969, the committee came together with the goal to stop testing nuclear bombs underground the second stage with Canikkin code, by the U.S. military under Amchitka Island, Alaska .
The first expedition ship called the Greenpeace I, the ship’s second expedition called Greenpeace Too!
Currently has 3 Greenpeace ships now

Bill Darnell is the man who combines the green (green) and peace (peace), which later became the name for this organization. On May 4, 1972, after Dorothy Stowe completed his chairmanships Do not Make A Wave Committee, this organization then officially changed his name to “Greenpeace Foundation”.
